It is amazing how God works in our lives. I was born and raised most of my life right here in the Clement community. I think God put a little extra dirt in my veins when he made me. I grew up loving the outdoors playing sports, hunting, and fishing. I also worked on the farm for my grandpa and other local farmers. After graduating from Midway High School, I went to NC State University and received a Bachelors and Masters degree in Agriculture Education, with a minor in Horticulture (yes I am a self admitted plant geek). During that time I met the most beautiful, loving, and intelligent woman I ever met, who became the love of my life (next to Jesus of course).
I taught high school agriculture and was an FFA Advisor for eight years. That was until God called me and my wife into the ministry in 2007. Currently I am a studying at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. My wife, Amy teaches seventh grade math at Midway Middle School. We have two great energetic sons Benjamin and Brady.
God has blessed me with so much in my life. But nothing compares to what he did for me the day he voluntarily went to a cross and died for the sins I committed. Words cannot express the gratitude and joy I get whenever that truth crosses my mind, so I strive to let my life reflect that gratitude. From my salvation I have peace in my soul and joy in my heart. If you have never fully given your life to Christ, please read the Gospel of John Chapter 3 and ask Jesus to become your Lord and Savior. Or you can contact me or another mature Christian who can help you. Making Jesus Christ Lord of your life is the best thing you will ever do and the only way you will ever be able to have eternal life in heaven.
Union Grove is my home church and to be called to minister to people that I already love is an honor that I do not take lightly. It is very humbling and yet very exciting to know that God has placed me here in this little section of the world to proclaim the name of Jesus. I love this community and I love the people of this community, even the ones I have yet to meet. I look forward to the things God is going to accomplish for His glory through the work of the people of Union Grove. If I can ever assist you in anyway please let me know.
